I am SO excited to share some photos of our trip to Austin, Texas earlier this summer. I can't believe it's been a whole month already!! I didn't know what to expect when we left for this trip, but was so pleasantly surprised by this city. There is so much to do, so many friendly people and SO much BBQ. Not to mention that we got to stay with Aly, owner of For Such A Time Designs, and her wonderful husband. I have never known a more hospitable and sweet couple- we were so lucky that they agreed to home us for a few days and show us around! We visited a number of parks all around the city, played downtown and watched millions of bats fly out from underneath a bridge, checked out the local cool springs, Barton Springs, where people swim, played games, swam in Lake Austin and ate tons of bbq. I mean, why not, right?? I also got to photograph Aly's studio space a little bit! It was so endearing and so obvious how much heart she puts into her business.
It's always so good for my heart to take a little break from the day to day and this is a trip I will remember forever. Spending time with these two made me feel right at home and like we'd known each other for a long time. That is a really special thing. Thank you Aly and Andrew.
