Have I mentioned I love doing styled shoots!? WELL, it's so true! This fantastic stylized session came together last March and was featured in Junebug Weddings shortly thereafter. I am absolutely thrilled to share this with you now and to brag all about the super awesome team of people I had to make this happen.
The vision here was to really showcase everything amazing about our beloved PNW and to tie in so many elements I work with on a very regular basis in my field- wedding essentials, bride and groom and HAPPINESS! I spent several days prowling Whatcom County for the perfect destination for this session and finally stumbled upon Berthusen Park in Lynden, Washington. It offers so many perfect little nooks tucked away in the woods with wonderful filtered light, fallen trees, lush ground cover and MOSS! Plus, and this was incredibly important to us due to the number of props we were bringing along, we could pull our cars right up to the location. I knew it would be an ideal spot!
This was my first styled shoot working with a couple and not just one model. These two had never met each other before and I was nervous about what the on-camera chemistry would be like. Hilariously and much to my relief these two hit if off right away. Whitney and James were cracking jokes, snuggling right into each other and giving me great material left and right. Whitney's makeup was done by Love Beauty and hair by Kayla of La Terra Salon. Her dress is from Gown and Glove in downtown Bellingham!
While I was staging gorgeous woodland stationery from Noteworthy Ink designs and that stunning ring from The Silvery Moon, I had a team of ladies crafting these fantastic tablescapes including TONS of moss, greenery, fresh flowers, wood textures, gold and elegant candlesticks, various furniture items from Home to Home Decor and unique hand stamped flatware from For Such A Time Designs. All of our fresh flowers were provided and designed by Botanikal, felt flowers featured in many shots below by The Felt Flower Shop and coordination of all this craziness beautifully executed by Morgan of Tied Bow Events.
We spent the day playing outside on this warm Pacific Northwest day and I am so thrilled with how it all came together. We wrapped it all up with a sweet serenade from Jordan Haas Music!
