Well, today is the day that I turn 30 years old. I don't really think I quite believe it, but it's here nonetheless. I feel like I've accomplished so much in so many ways and somehow I feel like I am so far behind all at the same time. Life is weird like that, isn't it? But, today, I want to celebrate all the experiences, the people, the accomplishments, the changes, the growth and ALL the things that make my life WONDERFUL. I want to share them with all of you because without every one of you, my life would not be the same. Thank you for loving me and cheering me on for 30 years of craziness and know that I love you all in so many ways.
In the past thirty years I grew up with a pretty cool family who I didn't think was cool at that time and have learned that I was very wrong (I think that's usually how it goes? Turns out my family was pretty cool the entire time.) We took trips to our favorite cabin in Idaho and I played softball, bullied my brothers, laughed with my friends. I moved to Bellingham and went to college where I studied Psychology, Human Services and Early Childhood Education. I worked at the YMCA and various private schools in town, went to parties, lived with my best friend, had adventures. I met Charles at a Pirate/Ninja Halloween Party and eventually we moved to Sudden Valley and got the cutest bunny of all time. Later on I moved to Portland and got to work with one of my best friends at Volt where I learned a LOT about large companies, our world and working my ass of for someone else. I got to explore an amazing city, got my first dog, grew on my own terms and learned what it meant to be an independent adult before moving back to Bellingham and starting my own company. I came back in full force and with the support of Charles I knocked it out of the park that first summer back in town. Booking 17 weddings and hitting the ground running, I really haven't ever looked back. KMP is everything that I have wanted to do with my creative side for as long as I can remember and this ride is so exciting. In the last 4 years I have grown my client base, made new friends, started working for larger companies like Haggen and Molbak's, been published, given speeches, won awards, gone out of my comfort zone. The best feeling in the world is like you're on the right path to happiness and a life LIVED and loved.
I am sure you won't find it hard to believe that below is just a VERY small sampling of some of my favorite photos of people and experiences that have brought me so much joy. I don't think anyone would honestly be thrilled to sift through the MANY MANY hard drives worth of photos that ALL make me very happy. So, enjoy this small sampling and know that if you aren't in any of the images below, it isn't because I don't love you. It's because I'm up to my ears in photos <3
Cheers to following my heart and living this life with all of you!
