Every spring, the tulips call — and every spring my inbox fills up. 🌷The Skagit Valley Tulip Festival draws hundreds of thousands of visitors each year, and for good reason. The color, the rows upon rows of blooms, the fresh spring energy — it’s pure Pacific Northwest magic.

I’ve been visiting the tulip fields since 2008 (at least once every single year!), and over time I’ve learned exactly how to navigate the crowds, the timing, the light, and the logistics to create not just beautiful images — but a smooth, enjoyable experience for my clients. There’s definitely a strategy to doing tulip sessions well, and I’m so excited to bring that experience to a very limited number of sessions this year.

Tulip Session Shorts

These are shorter, limited-edition sessions designed to give you stunning tulip portraits without committing to a full-length session — perfect for families, couples, headshots, senior portraits or simply celebrating spring in the most colorful way possible.

Because the festival is such a high-traffic event, I carefully select time slots and locations within the gardens that photograph beautifully while still allowing us to move efficiently and respectfully through the space. Expect vibrant color, joyful movement, and classic KMP warmth — all surrounded by fields of blooms.

Tulip Session Shorts are $495 and include:

• Up to 30 minutes inside RoozenGaarde
• Group sizes up to 5 people (no pets allowed per garden rules)
• 15 guaranteed final images
• Personal print release
• Digital gallery delivered within 14 days

Important Notes

• Session pricing does not include admission tickets to RoozenGaarde. Clients must purchase their tickets separately in advance for the designated time slot.
• Sessions take place rain or shine — spring weather is part of the charm! (Cloudy skies actually photograph beautifully.)
• Payment is due in full at booking and is non-refundable due to the limited nature of these sessions.
• Please plan to arrive early. Traffic and parking during the festival can be significant, and late arrivals will cut into your session time.
