I’m honestly embarrassed about how long it’s taken me to share some of the awesome farms I had the privilege of photographing over 2020 for our fabulous Sustainable Connections team! I had the opportunity to photograph a series of local farms, highlight the unique offerings of each farm and hear the stories of how they all got started. This session with Sam and Liza of East of Eden Farm was one of my favorites. As you’ll see, they were expecting at the time of this session and now their little one is out in the world learning all about the beautify of farming, too.
“East of Eden is a family-run farm just north of downtown Bellingham, established and run by husband and wife team Sam and Liza Janis. Originally from the East Coast, Sam and Liza made the westward migration to begin this very farm and to build their new community around growing, preparing and sharing good food.”
