CASE STUDY: HOLLY'S MEAT PIES
Holly reached out to me about updated imagery for her website and social media outlets that authentically shared her passion for cooking, supporting local farmers and sharing healthy food with her community. We had both an on-site session to get shots of her crafting pies and headshots for promoting herself as the face of the shop and a studio session to showcase the tasty pies. Since these sessions, Holly’s Meat Pies has expanded into a huge commercial kitchen space and has significantly increased their sales. They have used the photos to create an online shop, in brochures and on posters and in their social media ads to reach a larger audience. See a full blog post here!
Here is what the client had to say: “It was a difficult decision to make, who to work with to help tell my story. Katheryn was recommended to me by several people I respect and upon looking at her particular style I felt she was the person to reach out to. Her prompt response, enthusiasm and complete professionalism confirmed my feelings that I had chosen well. As we communicated and made a plan for the what, where and how the photo shoot would unfold, it was so nice to feel she understood what I was striving for.
Katheryn was able to take in a lot of information once we were working together in person. She heard my concerns as well as my passion for cooking and my commitment to a farm-to-table, old-fashioned country feel. I am so happy with the results! I am already looking forward to the next time we can work together. She is fantastic!”
CASE STUDY: DUE CUCINA ITALIANA
Working onsite at restaurants takes thoughtful planning to consider the light, timeline and flow of the busy space. When Davide reached out to me they had recently remodeled their restaurant and were looking for a comprehensive collection of imagery of the new space, new menu items and the staff at work. In the four hours I was onsite we captured shots of the updated restaurant space, the chef at work and 21 different menu items, all shot from three different angles: top down, 45 and 90 degrees plus a few macro shots. With a final collection of 360+ shots, this restaurant was able to use the images to start selling their food on mobile order sites, on their own website and social media outlets and to market their business on Google. They have since opened a second location and are increasing sales each year! See a full blog post here.
From the Client: “I worked with Katheryn on a professional photo shoot for my restaurant. She has been AMAZING in every aspect of it, from discussing our needs, creating the quote, planning as well as in executing the photoshoots. She generated much more content than expected, and photo quality was excellent. Not only an exceptional food photographer, but also an awesome person to work with and have a good time! Strongly recommended to anybody who needs food photography.”
