For those of you that have been following my blog for a little while, you already know that a big part of my intentions for KMP this 2016 season is to put more time into lifestyle sessions, to practice finding those genuine moments while still making your clients feel comfortable. To me, lifestyle sessions are situations and things that you do on a regular basis that you may not even think to capture. This can be a day at work, playing in the backyard, walking your dog down your favorite street… Or doing laundry! Kenny and Amanda live on a sailboat in the Seattle area and laundromats are a constant and necessary part of their lives. When I started formulating this plan I had to start sourcing laundromats in town. I found this fantastic laundromat here in Bellingham called Brio Laundry and this clean, friendly, bright, updated, tech savvy placewas the best place in town, by far. For all you laundromat-goers, absolutely check this place out!
I encourage you to think about all the little things you do regularly and remember that there is beauty in all of those things, too. Kenny and Amanda- I love you guys! Thanks for doing this with me.
SOOOOO cute!!! It is a shame they aren’t photogenic and you aren’t at all creative!!! LOL
You are so creative Katy! One of the things I love about this shoot is, it makes you realize the mundane tasks can be fun and marriage is all about having fun doing the every day things! You rock. You are amazing. I heart you, big time!
OmGoodness! I hope more of your clients ask for "daily life" "lifestyle" shoots. It is so unique and so so cool. You have one talented and creative eye/mind.
