We’ve had some extra time at home these days which has meant some time to bake with my very talented neighbor and friend! She’s been honing her bread skills for years and we’d been talking about pretzels for months. I was able to learn a ton just watching her work in the kitchen. After she got all the hard stuff done like actually mixing the dough and letting it rise all morning, she taught me to roll out and shape pretzels and how to bathe them in a baking soda bath. Then, before feasting on them and enjoying a “Saint Patricks’ Day Happy Hour: Quarantine Style”, we photographed them. I loved the unique shape and beautiful color of these babies! We paired it with the best beer cheese EVER featuring Kerrygold Cheddar Cheese and, of course, big glasses of beer. Find the pretzel recipe she used here!
