This idea for the Vintage Circus themed session came about one day when I was brainstorming with the ladies over at Wander Event Rentals. We’d be playing around with the idea of hosting our own styled session workshop to teach other creatives how to successfully put together a styled session, manage vendors and create something really unique. We never quite got that piece off the ground, but we were so thrilled by this wild theme that we just had to make it a reality. I spent several months researching and finding vendors and props that fit this theme. I spray painted tiny circus animals, and painted tufts of stuffing to look like cotton candy. I met with vendor after vendor after vendor to be sure we were all on the same page. We got a llama on board. We found old, unique vintage props with the help of Penny Lane Antique Mall. This was a HUGE team of people to make the day a success and I could not have done it without each and every one of them!
When the day finally arrived it took us ALL. DAY. I am not lying when I say I was onsite for at least 10 hours this day along with many of the other vendors involved. The tent was designed by Eastwood Events with supplies from Skagit Valley Wedding Rentals and took about 6 of us to fully set up due to the mild wind we were facing that day. The floral statement installation hanging in the middle of the tent from Pozie by Natalie took 4 people to hang. There was a team of talent doing hair and makeup for our models. We had people helping set up all the little details including the hanging ticket backdrop, the tablescape, the snack and dessert stand and the bar. There was SO much planning that went into this session and I still am really very proud of it.
Enjoy and show these awesome locals some love by checking out their pages, too!
