Way back in April Charles and I traveled to beautiful Palm Springs, California for nearly a week away in the sunshine. It was the perfect respite from rainy Bellingham and we had SO MUCH FUN. There is a lot to see in this little city and tons of really cool Hollywood history. Even just walking the old neighborhoods is a ton of fun. We took a Celebrity Grand Tour that took us all over the city telling us stories about tons of famous people past and present that has vacationed, lived and filmed all over Palm Springs. We visited Elvis’ Honeymoon Hideway and heard stories of him and Priscilla living their earlier years of marriage there. We walked through the Moorten Botanical Garden oogling beautiful plants and drank date shakes at the Sheilds Date Garden (freaking delicious you guys- I had no idea). We made time to go ALLL the way out to the Salton Sea to visit this eerie spot before it supposedly disappears (it’s giant, so don’t be too worried yet) and spent a day hiking around Joshua Tree National Park. We didn’t stay at the park, but there are plenty of camping opportunities you can read more about here! Highlights not pictured below, but that we really enjoyed: the very strange and entertaining Banana Museum near the Salton Sea and the BEST SUSHI from Sandfish!
We can’t wait to go back for a visit again soon!
