Our eighth and final destination on this trip was all thanks to our sweet friends Stacy and Jason who invited us to come stay with their family at the house they were renting on the island for a few months. What a dream!!!!!!!!! We flew into Cagliari and they picked us up to drive us the hour or so from the airport to their house just steps away from the most lovely beach. We had a solid 1.75 days here and we definitely made the most of it. We saw the local grocery store, walked the beach, played in the Mediterranean Sea, went on an adventure to see the local town and some old lookout ruins… and relaxed! We were so happy to see some familiar faces that spoke English and to be in some heat after the cold adventures we’d been having. We left bright and early for an 18 hour travel day home and I have to say that I was nowhere near ready to go. This entire trip was so refreshing and I had fallen in love with the travel life. Farewell for now, Europe! We will be back for you before long. <3
