I always love a good cake smash session, but particularly when I’ve been working with the birthday girl since she was born!!! Sweet little Lucy turned one and she was full of smiles during our in-home session. We started a photo series including Mom and Dad before setting up this little at-home studio scene utilizing a beautiful family quilt as our backdrop. Sometimes, doing these sessions at home vs. renting a studio space is just so much easier that we just work together to find the right light and backdrop to make it happen! Lucy needed a tiny bit of encouragment to get going on her smashing and Dad was there to help. Sometimes just showing your little one that getting messy and digging in is encouraged, they get the message and really go for it!
