“Elopement”, “micro-wedding“, “intimate ceremony”… whatever you want to call them, these smaller wedding day celebrations were incredibly popular throughout 2020 and are still showing up in my inbox pretty frequently today. I absolutely love these kinds of wedding day celebrations as they just allow you to be a little bit more relaxed, gives you the time and space to really appreciate every single person that is there celebrating you and soak it all in. Photographing these types of days has been incredibly sweet, always fills my heart back up with all the love and reminds me that this job is very freaking cool.
Haley and Blake were one of my elopement style ceremonies last year and this was one for the books. The couple dressed in the parking lot, carrying their wedding shoes and hiking down the mountain side at Heather Meadows to the Bagley Lakes and the arching stone bridge that crosses them. The first time the bride laid eyes on this location she knew it was the spot she wanted to get married, and I can very obviously see why! This location is absolutely stunning and working with Haley and Blake was a ton of fun. They were playful, kind and thrilled to put in a little extra hiking for the right shot- my kind of people 😉
Enjoy!
