We had the chance to travel out to New Orleans for the first time ever with my family to celebrate my Dad’s 60th birthday! What an absolutely awesome city FULL of life, culture, amazing food and really great people. We jam packed a TON of fun into a week long visit. You can find a list of some of our favorite places, restaurants and experiences below!
-
Spotted Cat – Live jazz and drinks. Small little bar, has AC and cheap drinks!
-
Red Dog Diner – Awesome brunch! Recommended by a local and totally worth the trek from where we were staying.

French Market – Open air market in the French Quarter full of food, local goods and music!

Carriage Tour! We loved the ride around town and our guide was extremely personable and knowledgable. We rode to the cemetery and learned that you MUST be with a certified guide in order to visit the cemeteries in NOLA. Highly recommend!
-
Pat O’Brien’s dueling piano bar – Loud, crazy and a whole lot of fun.
-
Commanders Palace– This is where we had my Dad’s birthday brunch. It was completely delicious. They even came in and serenaded us several times!
