Another incredible year visiting the tulips at Roozengaarde as part of the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival! Roozengaarde is far and away my favorite tulip display in the valley and we had incredible weather throughout so much of April this year that finding the tulips in the sunshine was easy! That’s not always the case- Spring weather can be tricky sometimes. While I love seeing the tulips no matter the weather, the colorful pop of these beauties in the sun is my favorite way to see them. Here are just a few of my favorite photos from the garden displays this year! Most of these were taken with my newest favorite lens – the Canon 100mm F2.8 macro. So crisp and beautiful! Don’t forget- I’ve got a special section in the Print Shop just just for you tulip lovers!
I even had the chance to work with some of you out in the fields this year which is always SUCH a treat. What an incredible backdrop these gardens are! I will never get over how lucky I am to live so close to this fabulous festival. Thanks to mid-week sessions starting promptly as the gates opened, we had minimal people in our shots and were able to really enjoy their fields without being shoulder to shoulder.
