I can hardly believe it’s taken me this long to finally get around to sharing out experience in beautiful Prague back in May. This was the end of our trip after traveling through Europe from Garmisch to Rothenburg ob der Tauber to Heidelberg and the Rhine Valley. Prague was an incredible city with SO much to do.
We stayed at the INNside Prague Hotel, which was one of the best places we stayed on our entire trip – highly recommend! Clean, fabulous breakfast and very centrally located. On our first night in town we found a local jazz show in an underground AghaRTA Jazz Club which was really cool. They frequently have live music here and the space is fairly small, so it’s intimate and special. The next day we wandered the Charles Bridge, came across an awesome local brewery called Vojanův Dvůr, found the Prague Castle and walked the grounds, stopping for lunch on the patio overlooking the city. We walked down from the castle into the Wallenstein Gardens where the peacocks roam free and the garden is lush and green. Finally, we headed over to check out the Lennon Wall before meeting up with our group for the local Underground Beer Tour.
I could not recommend this Beer Tour enough. Hosted on Airbnb Experiences by locals that love to geek out over everything beer. They showed us tiny hole-in-the-wall local spots we never would have found, taught us the proper way to order beer and about the rich history of beer in the Czech Republic. 10/10! One of the best things we did in the city.
We couldn’t miss the Astronomical Clock and paid the fee to walk all the way to the top of the clock for amazing views of the entire city and beyond. We rented a paddle boat and went out on the river, we rented an old jalopy car and driver to take us all around town.
We left this city feeling like there was so much left to see and do. An amazing way to end out trip.
