While we were in Wisconsin there were a few places we absolutely had to spend time in- One of the was Port Washington. My parents were married in this quaint little town and I couldn’t wait to check out their parks along Lake Michigan, wander the cute little streets and see where Mom and Dad tied the knot. While we were here we stumbled up this absolutely fantastic little restaurant and bar called Twisted Willow. Sitting right on the main street downtown this place really stands out from many of the other bars in Wisconsin. Both their kitchen and cocktail menus boasted unique, fun items that all included local, fresh produce and ingredients grown on their very own farm! Farm to table styled restaurants are not a huge thing in the mid-west, but it called out to our Pacific Northwest hearts immediately. We may have overly occupied Joe, the sweet bartender mixing us up various house favorites and sharing stories, but I just couldn’t get enough of this place! Thanks for making our trip to your small town so memorable, Twisted Willow. We will absolutely be back!
It’s a jewel, which Ozaukee County absolutely needed!
I LOVE Twisted Willow & their bar named the Tree House.
See you tomorrow to celebrate after my follow up appointment with
my neurosurgeon, I can’t wait!
