This was my first time photographing a wedding out at Pipestone Canyon Ranch in the Methow Valley, WA and OH, was it magical! The rolling hills of the Winthrop area, the beautifully established trees, access to the river and the big barn made for an absolutely beautiful setting with all kinds of wonderful choices for photography backdrops and gorgeous light. I can’t wait to have the opportunity to get back to this location!
It was such a special honor to be a part of Meagan and Drake’s wedding day here. They’d actually officially tied the knot with their immediate family and closest friends over Covid, and this was a chance for them to have a larger celebration and include the other important people in their lives! They made a weekend of it and many of their guests camped or found funky cabins to stay in in the nearby town of Twisp.
The couple was sure to incorporate all sorts of special touches including personalized tattoos, a memory table of photos of grandparents and people in their lives that weren’t able to be physically present, family heirlooms, blankets people had made them, cookies from their favorite bakery: Antler Baking, and funky decor items like disco balls! They wanted the vibe of the day to be fun and relaxed. Mission accomplished <3
