Whenever I travel out of town I ALWAYS have my camera with me and I do everything I can to line up a session wherever we are going to be. Shooting in a new location is SO refreshing to my soul and this little neighborhood in Phoenix was so full of life! We spent the evening wandering her neighborhood, checking out her favorite local spots (including several incredible murals) and getting ice cream!
I have known Nicole, owner of The Felt Flower Shop, for several years thanks to social media and how awesome other small business owners can be. I was connected to Nicole through another Etsy shop owner, Aly of For Such a Time Designs, and the three of us have been creating fun and crazy styled shoots since the internet connected us so long ago. One of my personal favorites was our Mary Poppins styled shoot a few summers ago! This trip to Phoenix was my first chance to meet Nicole in person and to spend time with her sweet family and I cannot begin to say how full my heart is. Not only does this Momma run a small business, but she raises three sweet and independent boys, treasures her husband and supports her local community through work with the homeless population and an obviously deep love for people.
I feel so lucky to make connections like this through my work. I also feel honored to share this small business adventure with some many amazing people.
