I had the total delight of working with Infusion Cuisine to photograph some of their most recent and seasonal menu additions. Located near Lynden and just outside Bellingham, you might miss this little restaurant as you’re zipping by, but it’s absolutely worth stopping in to try their expansive menu offering fine Mexican, Italian, and Asian food in a welcoming, family-style atmosphere.
The day I arrived we were set to focus on their new seafood dishes. Lucky for them, I have years of experience working with seafood and know how important it is to light these kinds of dishes properly. Seafood can be tricky in that you want to be sure you capture the proper texture and beautiful color without too much shine or reflection. You want the seafood to be fresh, enticing and appetizing. I always have my white bounce cards, off camera flash + soft box handy. Sometimes I even bring along a small spray bottle to add a spritz of freshness as necessary!
