Eli’s mom wanted one thing for this session: to celebrate her one-year-old and capture him being himself. And honestly, that’s exactly what we did! From the very first moment, Eli was curious, silly, and full of energy, and we spent the session following his lead—letting him explore, play, and show off his little personality.
Even though this session was meant to highlight Eli, his older brothers couldn’t resist joining in on the fun. Before long, the three of them were racing around, climbing on the playground, and heading down to the lake for a spontaneous dip. Their playful energy was contagious, and the combination of little and big brother antics made the day even more joyful.
Sessions like this are some of my favorite: relaxed, in-the-moment, and completely centered around the child’s joy. The photos capture the laughter, curiosity, and love that fill Eli’s world—and give his family a beautiful collection of memories to look back on for years to come.
Whether it’s a milestone birthday, a summer afternoon by the lake, or simply a chance to pause and play, sessions like these celebrate the little moments that grow into lifelong memories. Eli and his brothers reminded me why capturing authentic family life—playful, messy, joyful—is always worth it.
