Working with the team at Binyon Vision Center was an absolute blast. They’re a well-loved local eye clinic that takes care of their patients with heart, humor, and real connection, so it only made sense that their images needed to reflect that same energy.
From the start, our goal was to create a collection of photos that felt welcoming and genuine, showing the personality of each staff member and the warmth of the practice. What we ended up with was more than just a set of pictures. It was a toolkit they could use across everything from their website to their business cards, and it’s been so fun to see how much life those images have taken on.

Making the Most of Their Images
The Binyon Vision team has used their photos in so many creative ways. They’ve added headshots to business cards so patients can immediately put a face to a name (how smart is that?), updated their website with fresh photos of their staff and office layout, and used the images all over social media.
“We’ve been able to use our images in so many ways! We love using headshots on our business cards so it’s easy to put the face to the name,” they shared. “I was able to update some of the photos across our website to better reflect our current staff and layout, and we love having all of the images available for use on social media.”
That kind of variety is exactly why I love branding sessions. Instead of just a few portraits, they now have a whole library of visuals that can evolve right along with their business.

Connecting With Patients in a More Personal Way
The response from their patients has been incredible. People love being able to see who they’re talking to before they even walk through the door.
“Patients regularly comment, especially new patients browsing our website, that they love seeing our pictures and knowing who they’re speaking to on the phone,” they told me. “We also feature our full staff shot on our Google listing so people searching can easily see our whole crew.”
It’s such a simple thing, but it makes a huge impact. People feel more comfortable and confident when they can recognize friendly faces, especially in a setting like an eye clinic, where trust and comfort matter so much.

Authentic Connection Through Imagery
This is one of my favorite parts of Binyon Vision’s story. The team genuinely cares about creating a welcoming environment, and their photos help tell that story before a single word is spoken.
“The images have absolutely helped create an authentic connection with our patients,” they said. “They help put a friendly, familiar face to our practice and help build trust.”
That’s the sweet spot I always aim for with brand photography: real connection, not just polished pictures.

The Team’s Reaction
When I delivered the final images, the excitement was contagious. The Binyon Vision crew couldn’t wait to see and share them.
“Most of our team loves having their photo taken, and those staff members are always thrilled to be featured on our social media or in advertising,” they said. “This year when pictures were ready, people were very excited to update their Slack avatars.”
That right there makes me so happy. When people are excited to use their photos, that’s when you know you’ve captured something authentic and lasting.
Why Branding Photography Beats Traditional Headshots
I couldn’t agree more with what the Binyon Vision team shared about the difference between a traditional studio headshot and a full branding session.
“Branding imagery is definitely more useful than traditional headshots,” they said. “It’s so fun for both the staff and patients to see us doing our thing in our own environment versus a studio head and shoulders shot.”
Exactly! Brand photography gives people a behind-the-scenes look at who you are and what you do. It tells your story, not just your title.
Working with Binyon Vision Center reminded me why I love what I do so much. When photos capture genuine connection and community, they don’t just look good; they work.
